Welcome to Golden Gymnastics’ inaugural adult competition team page!
We’re so excited to start our first adult team, and we’re so happy you’re here to check us out.
Our current practice plans are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30, and Sundays in the morning (time TBD! We will work with people’s schedules!)
Practice starts Sept. 1st, season starts in February.
Due to this being a new team, we are running reduced pricing for the first year, and will utilize a co-op model! Tuition will be $50 monthly to cover the use of the facility. Competition fees, leotards, and local travel expenses will be in addition to tuition. We have not signed up for meets yet, so you are welcome to let us know if you have a competition you would like the team to participate in!
What does it mean to have a gymnastics team be a co-op?
Every member of the team will be expected to help other members of the team have a positive experience. If you are an experienced gymnast, you will be expected to give feedback to other teammates! If you are brand new to gymnastics, you will be expected to help with some admin work to get ready for season and help advertise the program. There will not be an official head coach, but rather the power of many minds with different strengths! We will designate team captain(s), however, to be point persons for questions regarding the program.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
NO! Part of the fun of doing competitive sports as an adult is that you get to learn hard things without the pressure of timelines. There are competition levels for all experiences in the gym, and we are so confident that learning any amount of the sport will be a rewarding experience.
-
YES! We would love to have you compete with us. Our goal is to have gymnasts of every level feel comfortable doing a season of their new or existing favorite sport. In addition to coaching each other, the owner of the gym, Karl Gribb, will guest coach about once a month.
-
YES! Not only is adult gymnastics co-ed, but every gymnast can do every event, men’s and women’s. No events are required, all events are opt-in!
-
All of us! Helping out teammates better their skills is a great part of this individual sport. Questions range from “were my legs together in this skill?” all the way to “can you help me figure out how to land a flip?”
-
Just because you’re an adult gymnast doesn’t mean that life doesn’t stop outside of the gym! Your attendance is completely up to you, but with the caveat that tuition will be billed in full every month regardless of attendance, unless you follow our drop notice guidelines.
-
With our co-op model being the essence of the team, and NAIGC meet fees being significantly less than any youth competition fees you’ll come across, this will potentially be the most affordable way to do gymnastics you’ll come across!
Tuition: $50/month
Competition leotard: approximately $170, one time, for all seasons you choose to be with us
Meet fees: $12-30 per meet, with the amount of meets you attend being up to you
Travel expenses: local meets are our goal right now, and there will be carpooling involved!
If cost is something that is the barrier between you walking into the gym and not walking into the gym, we want you to walk into the gym anyway. We’ll figure it out.

Practice wear is whatever you would like to wear, as long as it adheres to the Golden Gymnastics Handbook (no buttons, zippers, or dangly things). Just remember that even beginners go upside down!
